Words cannot describe how grateful I am to everyone who gave of their time, talent, financial resources and just plain good energy to my campaign for Supervisor.  From the small encouraging word to the largest of donations, I am eternally grateful!

Obviously, the result was not what we had hoped, but we fought a good fight, ran a principled campaign, and we can feel nothing but pride in what we accomplished together.

It has been my great honor to work alongside so many wonderful people.  Many of you I've known for years and I can't tell you how much I value those relationships and how they've sustained me for so long.   Some of you I've just gotten to know over the last year and I am truly blessed to now have you in my life.  In whatever way – big or small – you participated, please know how much you are appreciated.

Thank you so very much for working to help make healthcare a right not a privilege.  Thank you for caring about working families, economic fairness and social justice.  Thank you for working to preserve this precious and beautiful place we live.  And finally, thank you for believing in me.  I am blessed indeed.

Now let's get back out there.  There's work yet to be done.
