Maddy Hirshfield for County Supervisor

Sonoma County has been my home for 23 years, and there is no place I’d rather be. Like many of us in the 5th District, I believe we can make our county even better. And the best place to start is locally.

I’ve stood on the frontlines with Sonoma County’s working families seeking economic security and reasonable benefits. I’m fighting for universal/single-payer healthcare — the only way to cover everyone fairly.

I’ve stood up to shortsighted interests willing to trade away our local environment forever for windfall profits today. And I’ve led local efforts to guarantee equal rights for all people.

My goals for our district include:

Healthcare for all
Combat global warming by leading locally to increase reliance on renewable energy
Thoughtful land planning that puts the environment first
A sustainable economy that values small-scale agriculture and local innovation
A living wage for all working men and women
Smarter transportation planning and rail to reduce traffic and pollution
